[Mask Holder]

Name: Caspian P. Walsh

Gender: Male

:new: Age: Seventeen Eighteen (his birthday passed he's now legallll)

D.O.B.: 16 January

Sexual Orientation: Questionable.  He’s bisexual, even though he leans more towards girls.

Affiliation: None  (He’s only interested in his own selfish needs, however he can be swayed).

PERSONALITY

Intelligent| Loyal | Ambitious | Honest | Egotistical | Ignorant | Stubborn | Clingy l

When you first meet Caspian you are probably going to hate him.  Or, at least take an immediate disliking towards him.

The prepubescent teenage boy is stuck-up and egotistical.  Whether it's commenting on a flaw in your appearance, insulting your "idiocy" or brushing off your hello or sorry, he enjoys making other people’s lives miserable.  However, despite him desperately trying to seem all tough and all-knowing, he has a serious inferiority complex.  Perhaps it was due to him being bullied as a child, or loosing his father at an early age, but he feels like he has to be better than everyone else to inflate his own ego.  Even if to others outside of his little bubble he more of comes across as a stuck-up teenager trapped in his own little world of delusions.

He acts as if he's smarter or more superior than other people, when in reality he isn't.  He slips up, he makes mistakes, he's not always going to know the right answers, he's only human. But he damn well will try, if it means that he can emerge victorious.

His insane, and almost concerning, competition streak makes him kind of hated among his peers.  It doesn't help that he's a sore loser, and even if you happen to beat him in chess fair and square or get a higher grade on him on a test, he will mope and whine about it, even if he tries to act "all cool" and not show it or make hasty excuses.  It doesn't help that he has no idea how people or emotions work (perhaps due to him being home schooled and living in an isolated house in the countryside for a good portion of his life) and he can say hurt things bluntly, and be rather confused when the person screeches at him or runs away crying.  ("Jeez it was just a joke!  A JOKE!")

However, despite how bratty and ignorant he may act, he really just wants to fit in and be accepted, even if, due to his personality and background, its incredibly hard for him to do.  He is not totally despicable, he has a conscience, and he will eventually admit he is wrong if pressed hard enough, however its always more of under extreme circumstances.  If you can put up with his quirks he is actually incredibly loyal, and kind of clingy to those that he treasures most.

HISTORY

Caspian Walsh was born in the countryside by the sea shore.  When he was younger his mother let him play in waves, as he watched in fascination of how lovely the water was.  He was obsessed with the water pokemon, and he would always be chasing wingulls and playing with azumarills.  He would pour over the books in his father’s study, reading about the water pokemon he’d play with.  One of them stood out to him-gyarados.  He knew that it wasn’t a legendary but the design looked so regal and beautiful, the young boy swore that it was.  Caspian’s father was an oceanographer, and every time he would come home from his field studies, he would always ask him excitedly if he had seen a gyarados.

He hadn’t.  But he would always tell him that if he did he would be the first to know.

However one day, his father never came back.  There was no traces of his boat, nor him or his fellow researchers.  However, Caspian had remembered a few nights before he had told him excitely that they were going to investigate a gyarados nest, and that he would bring back lots of pictures and stories for his gyarados-obsessed son.

The ocean was a beautiful thing.  But it was also terrifying.

After things had calmed down, Caspian and his now-widowed mother decided to move to the big city, where she had relatives that could help take care of him.  He was terrified of his new environment-he was going from being home schooled to a school of a thousand other boys and girls, the air being thick with pollution, he having a weird accent and annoyingly bright orange hair that stood out among his peers.

Caspian was alone, scared, with his beloved mother working frantically to make ends meet, surrounded by relatives he didn’t even know.  He was picked on a lot for being the teacher’s pet, and his unusual appearance.  He so desperately wanted to go back to his quaint countryside, with his mother and father.

But times had changed.

And he had to change with them.

He decided to embrace the very things that he was made fun of.  He flaunted his intelligence.  He grew out his hair.  He acted superior and stand-off-ish, arguing with his tormentors until they, annoyed with him, gave up and left.  He found himself getting on honor role, being disliked and-strangely-feeling very happy.  And content.

Years went by and this new way of coping with his childhood sort of spun out of control, into him being almost impossible to tolerate.  He was now a senior in high school who, while was still getting on honor roll, was the bane of his classmates' existence.  He was incredibly annoying with his boasting and delusions, really kind of a thorn in everyone's sides.  However, Caspian didn't really notice, nor did he care.  His mother, ignorant to his school life since he was still getting good grades, hadn't had a serious talk with him about being a tolerant, respectful human being, nor did him being sent to detention a lot for talking back to the teachers wasn't getting through his thick skull.

However, that was before the disasters struck.

He had heard about the sudden bizarre, natural phenomena happening around the city on the flat-screen T.V. in the student lounge before heading home, but he hadn’t taken much note of it.  Nor the heavy rainstorm that had whipped up outside.  Today was his mother’s birthday, and she was picking him up after school to go out to eat.

However, what happened after that was a blur to Caspian.  He and his mother huddling under an umbrella.  A loud cracking sound under their feet.  The ground splitting open to reveal a current of water.  His mother losing her balance and falling in, being swept away.  Him freaking out, how he desperately wanted to save the only family, the only person who he really had left in his life.

Seeing a glittering mask nestled next to the rocks, shining like a thousand rainbows.

~

Ever since that day, his mother was convinced that she had been rescued by some sort of mermaid, or legendary water pokemon.  She was leaning more towards the mermaid, as she said it looked like a pokemon, but also very human.  Caspian would grunt and tell her that she was imagining things, and some rescue workers had come to pick her up.

But the glittering dragon mask nustled in the bin underneath his bed would’ve told otherwise.

Fears:

-Water in general (in his mask form this fear goes away)

OTHER

-Has a strawberry allergy

-Speaks with a heavy irish accent, but has learned to control it.  His mother is completely the opposite though, Caspian is the only one who can fully interpret her slang.

-Works as a waiter in a cafe owned by his mother’s best friend downtown.  He really doesn't need the money as his family is well-off, however its sort of a therapy for him, as his mother's friend uses his waiteressing to help curb his ego and grow more adept at social interaction.

-He treats his pokemon better than he treats his classmates.

-He cares deeply for his mother, and a lot of the things he does or puts up with can usually be stemmed back to her influence.  Ever since almost loosing her he is now highly protective of her, and sometimes finds himself following his mother during her daily routine in free time, his mask nestled in his messenger bag.

:new:-His girlfriend is Liandra Minott
and the two of them possibly have the worst relationship in the history of relationships

MASK I

P-NO-Malverica 2.0 by PixieParrot

GENERAL

Alias: Malvrica

Species: Gyarados

Ability: Intimidate

Nature: Naughty

Summary Characteristic: Highly persistent

:new: Moveset:

:iconwatertypeplz: Rain Dance

:iconwatertypeplz: Aqua Tail

:iconwatertypeplz: Hydro Pump

:iconfairytypeplz: Attract

-Seeing how all his stupid mask could do is flirt with people, Caspian gave in and gave him a TM attract to make it easier.  Or maybe Malvrica bought it himself.  Caspian isn't entirely sure.  Whatever the reason he has it now.

OTHER

:new: (Changed/explained a few things with his personality, to explain more how it connects to his currently-existing personality, aha)

*For reasons due to his past, Caspian is terrified of his mask, and only puts it on in most dire situations.  Due to this he has a lot less control over his power than other animus who train more frequently, he has potential but he's not a good fighter, nor keen on his skills.  However, with the surge of natural disasters lately he's been trying to use the mask more often and diminish his fear, but it still hurts him to even touch it.

*Malvrica loves to tease and jest, and to be honest he more of likes to yak the person's ear off with his taunts and jeers than actually throw a punch.  And this may be for the better, as when you actually confront him you find that his bark is worse than his bite.

PERSONALTY TRAITS/CONFLICT

*Caspian really is a drama king, but he keeps it in.  Malverica on the other hand is very open about it, and flaunts it rather than trying to hide it.

*While Caspian is normally very physically/verbally abusive, even when he doesn't mean to, Malverica tones it down.  He more of is verbally abusive, even though its more out of nativity than spite.

*Caspian flirts to be mean and bully, Malverica flirts more just to flirt really

*Malverica speaks up everything on Caspian's mind, and is a reflection of the personality Caspian tries to keep inside himself, cranked a few notches.  He is also the best way to figure out what is going on in Caspian's head, as if asked a question he will most likely honestly respond to it, while Caspian would lie or hide it.

*Caspian is bi, but keeps that part hidden inside, Malverica is hella open about it

*He really is all of Caspian's sexual frustration and pent-up angst projected into one form.  If he lost all restrictions and self-conciseness, he would be something like Malverica.

Hate to be that guy but just noticed this: you seemed to have mixed up what being Irish means. The UK and Ireland are both IN Europe. In fact, Northern Ireland is part of the UK. But then again, the UK, Europe, and Ireland don't exist in the pokemon universe AT ALL sooo, ignore me, it's just semantics as opposed to him actually being Irish XD
