EDIT 6/30: I'M BACK AHAHAHA kinda tired n stuff but eh so back to normal Hayley things don't mind me~EDIT 6/20: HEEYY GUYS HAYLEY HERE! I'm going on a trip from June 22 to the beginning of July. I'll still have access to internet and I'll check up on contest stuff/other things, but I'm going to be really busy working at the convention I'm attending and visiting family, so I won't be active much or drawing. As for RPs I owe people I greatly apologize-I've been taking a long break but once I come back I'll start them all up again. The last contest I did was over two years ago and uh only three people entered ahahaah ha and I normally don’t like to host them ‘cause I’m bad at judging things, however, I figured since this is a huge milestone for me I’ll put aside my concerns and create one!
So what is this contest, exactly? The theme is basically draw my OCs. But ah, this isn’t your ordinary draw my OCs contest, there’s a twist!Draw my OCs in a fairytale/famous piece of literature of your choice. What I mean by fairytales is Snow White, Cinderella, the Prince and the Pauper-tales of good or bad, concerns of morality.
As for famous pieces of literature, things like Alice and Wonderland, Peter Pan, Tom Sawyer, The Wind and the Willlows, books that are staples of libraries, childhood and the education system. (I will also accept plays/musicals to an extent).If you aren’t entirely sure if the book or story you pick is in these categories, just notify me and I can tell you! YES YOU CAN USE DISNEY CROSS-OVERS as long as they are based off of a fairytale or a classical piece of literature. (Someone asked this and ye I think it needs to be addressed)
But oh Hayley-san, I can’t draw that well! Well that’s fine!
This contest is mainly about creativity and effort. Being able to draw great is a plus, but I’m mainly looking for how well you use my OCs and their personalities and fit it to the theme. And if the entire thing can make me sob violently or put a huge, cheesy grin on my face, then that works too.
So to stress up front the best drawn entry will not necessarily be the winner. That doesn’t mean don’t put effort into your piece, that is still a criteria too. Its just if it comes down to it I will probably go with the original, amateurishly-drawn entry over the cliche, professionally-drawn one.
Here are a few other things that will make your entry have a better chance of winning-
-My OCs are all in character.
-Including more than one of my OCs/one of their friends interacting with each other
-Your crossover idea is unique and original, or at least has a fresh twist on it (I already have the feeling that I’m going to be seeing a lot of Edward-as-Rapunzels ID).
-Making it funny or kind of heartbreaking, something that makes me want to squeal uncontrollably or smash a wall due to my overwhelming feelings works too. (Comics are more than welcome!)
-Including their significant others or friends I guess that I mention below ahaha (if you want to use them just ask me and I can ask their creators for you to make sure its okay, otherwise I’m sure its fine~)
-A description of the scene played out in the artist comments or why you picked it would help a lot in the judging phase to be honest
-Obvious effort shown in the piece
-Some color used to make it all pretty n stuff

You are allowed to enter up to three times and you may use the same characters but in different scenarios if you so wish. Also, as a lot of my OCs are pokemon athros I am totally okay with you creating human forms for them! To be honest I think that is actually a super cool and creative idea, and I would adore to see your interpretations of them. I’m flexible~ The only two pokemon OCs so far I have that have official human forms are Edward and Xavier, and their references are posted below. But everyone else is fair game!
But oh Hayley-san, what if you play favorites? I mean, with so many watchers you must have some...desu.

The Artist-YES in this contest I will be fine with including my little persona into your drawings. You can have her trying to get two of her OCs together, forcing herself to marry one of her other OC, dumping a bucket of water on their heads, go nuts.
She is basically a physical representation of the fourth wall, and I suggest to use her sparingly, mainly in comedic situations, but if you want to try to toy around with more serious stuff that’s cool too~Jack Frost-Uh, well, he’s not an OC of mine obviously, but if you’ve read my really old and really popular deviantart Hot Chocolate comics he sort of took on a personality of his own. So if you want to get a feel for how I use him you can read them here. He is probably best used when he’s paired with the artist though, as they have the best chemistry, but if you have some other crazy idea involving the fictional character of my obsessions go right ahead.

Xavier x Octavia - (They’re best friends who developed feelings for each other, they’re basically each other’s separate halves so you rarely see one of them without the other)
Edward x Xavier - (Very much an AU thing if neither of their girlfriends existed, however they do have feelings for each other and have acted on them a few times, even if they try to forget about it. It's just supppeerrr awkward all around).
Quinn x Xavier (Human)- (It's a thing hinted at, they like each other but don’t admit it)

Moonstone ~ Druzy Quartz (best friend relationship, go on fun gem battling adventures n stuff)
Prissy ~ LuLu (They’re families are close friends and business partners, LuLu sees her as her older sister, Prissy dotes over the happiny)

Quinn - Xavier (Human) (While their romance is hinted at in the comic’s plot and what it hinges around, they are firstly friends. Quinn’s realist and reflective nature balances out Xavier’s idiocy and impulsive-ness surprisingly well, and they make a good team)
Edward - Octavia (Kind of the third wheel in her and Xavier’s relationship, Octavia goes to him for advice n stuff)

Dante - Fiore (Siblings, Dante loves Fiore more than life itself, Fiore feels the same. It is NOT a romantic relationship, it's solely platonic, I just feel like I have to stress that).
Penny - Pierre (Siblings, they fight sometimes but care about each other deeply)
LuLu - Her Sisters (LuLu has two older sisters, Cassandra is in middle school and Bella is an adult. They care greatly about the happiny, becoming like her other set of parents)
Xavier - Chikaro (Xaiver is her very very distant grandpa, and if you want them meeting each other via time portal or whatever its totally cool)
Quinn - Molly - Lily (The three protagonists of my webcomic, all sisters)

I will keep their names unannounced for identity things but believe me they are all lovely and fair people, and I have complete faith that they are capable of this. After much deliberation, I have also decided that all the judges will be people who are NOT participating in the contest so everyone has an equal chance.
